The first forum was held in Tashkent on 30−31 October 2025. It brought together representatives from national companies, international operators, trading houses, and logistics firms across Central Asia and beyond.
The Forum was opened with key note address by the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
2025 Highlights:
SPEAKERS INCLUDED:
During the 2025 forum, Kazakh industry expert Askar Ismailov proposed connecting the gas systems of five countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The goal was to improve regional stability and supply.

Valérie Ducrot, Executive Director of the Global Gas Centre, called it "a new architecture for Central Asian energy cooperation" with potential to attract international investment.

Kazakh analytical portal Spik. kz covered the proposal and its reception at the forum.

Update — 2026
The proposal is now a $ 5 billion infrastructure project called the "Central Asia Gas Ring." It includes:

· $ 2 billion for new construction
· $ 3 billion for pipeline modernisation and digitalisation
· 3,000 km of pipeline to be upgraded or built

Strategic documents have been shared with regional leadership. The project was first discussed publicly at our October 2025 forum in Tashkent. Askar Ismailov has since joined the Global Gas Centre as Advisor on Central Asia.
